  HOW IT WORKS

After a break of almost 10 months Ride the Vines is back.

With the success of our Run The Vines Trail Run Series we decided that it is time to get Ride The Vines up and running again as we would like to give our MTB riders the same opportunity as our runners to experience the beauty of the farms in the Paarl region.

The aim of our events is to provide a fun day out for the whole family with a route for the more serious rider as well as the novice that just wants to have a nice day out with family and friends.

The Onsite Events team will do our best to give you the same experience as what our runners get at Run the Vines. With a great vide, good food, wine, craft beer, medals for all and a safe children’s playing area our events are something for the whole family.

Please join our Facebook page for updated info of our events.

We plan to do another 3 events later in the year. Dates and venues will soon be confirmed.

  • All rides will include areas on adjacent farms. Detailed route maps will be available 4 weeks before the event.

  • Water points for all distances (26 km - 3 / 10 km - 1)

  • Medals for all distances

Four-legged creatures, rolling vineyards, citrus orchards, the sweet smell of fresh figs and a strong family bond that ties everything together perfectly. These are just a few features of Uitkijk, a beautiful family farm situated at the slopes of the majestic Paardeberg Mountains. Home to the sixth generation Eksteen family, it was established in 1857. To this day, the horse stables and their regal residents remain the heart of the farm. After all, they kept it running in days of yore.

Fast-forward to the 21 st  century and you‘ll find an establishment steeped in traditional values and innovative ideas. With the perfect combination of soil content and climate to deliver the best produce. Plus the natural setting and enough farm-style elegance to play host to the most charming of weddings. And the wine? Let’s not get started.

It’s far better to experience it. View Event Poster Here
